YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's three-day Jala Deeksha is all set to begin in Kurnool on Monday.

The Deeksha that is being organised to protest against the irrigation projects proposed by the Telangana Government on Krishna and Godavari rivers will also highlight the failure of the Andhra Pradesh Government.

YS Jagan will sit on the Deeksha for three days from May 16-18 near the Kendriya Vidyalaya on Nandyal road. YSRCP cadres will also be extending their support to their leader by holding a Jala Deeksha at all Mandal headquarters in the state on May 17.

The main issue the YSRCP intends to raise with the Jala Deeksha is that the projects being built on Krishna and Godavari upstream by the TRS Government would result in the farmlands downstream becoming unproductive following which the people would face severe drinking water crisis besides irrigation crisis.
