The Indian Federation of Trade Unions (IFTU) has brought out Porubata, a bimonthly magazine, to promote its ideology and enlighten workers about their rights.

Speaking after launching Porubata at Chandra Rajeswara Rao Library in the city on Friday, IFTU State general secretary Kurapati Rama Rao alleged that the NDA Government at the Centre and the Telugu Desam regime in the State were trying to suppress the rights of workers.

The magazine would create awareness among workers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana about the adverse effects of the `pro-corporate’ policies of the Centre on their welfare. Porubata would be made a monthly magazine in near future, he said.

IFTU district president J Ramesh and general secretary LV Kutumba Rao, city president P Venkateswara Rao, leaders G Koteswara Rao, Vamsikiran and Ravinder were present on the occasion.
