Athree-day music festival that was organised by Yuva Swara Raga Vipanchi, concluded at Siva Rama Krishna Kshetram (Rama Koti) in the city on Wednesday. Young musicians showcased their talent at the festival. On the inaugural day of the music fest, Puligandla Karthik Bharadwaj Sarma of Nellore presented a vocal concert.

Karthik who started his concert with `Mathe Malayadwaja’ of Muthiah Bhagavathar in Khamas Ragam, rendered `Manasuloni’, `Nidhi Chala Sukhama’ and `Dachukovalena’ Krithis of Thyagaraja with devotion. He was accompanied by Hemadri Chandrakanth on violin, Kandula Anil Kumar on mridangam and Kandula Aravind on kanjira. His vocal concert was well received by the audience.

The music festival also featured a melodious flute recital by Soulapurapu Kumar Babu. He commenced his recital with `Vathapi Ganapathim Bhajeham’ of Muthuswami Dikshitar in Hamsadhwani Ragam. It was followed by Thyagaraja Krithis ` Endaro Mahanubhavulu’ in Sree Ragam, `Samajavaragamana’ in Hindola Ragam and Mysore Vasudevachar’s `Ra Ra Rajeeva Lochana’.

Chavali Srinivas, Neti Siva Sankar, K Anil Kumar and P Ganesh Srinath lent instrumental music support to the flute recital. Darbha Mrudu Ravali also presented a vocal recital during the music festival. She started her concert with `Kamalanabha' of Deekshitar Krithi in Anandabhairavi Ragam. `Paripurana’ of Thyagaraja in Poorvikalyani Ragam, `Bhogindra Sayinam’ of Swathi Thirunal in Kuntalavarali Ragam and `Saroja Dala Netri’ of Syama Sastri in Sankarabharanam Ragam were pleasantly rendered by her.

The vocal concert was ably supported by Gnanadev Pappu on violin and Kundurthi Aravind on mridangam. Speaking at the valedictory, Yuva Swara Raga Vipanchi founder Shaik Nagul Meeravali, said: “We are organising a music festival for every three months to encourage young talent.”
