Vijayawada: Brahmins can bring about massive change in the government. The same was proved by Brahmin Garjana in 2003, MLA Pundit Bhanwar Lal Sharma said here on Sunday at the national executive body meeting of the All India Brahmin Federation (AIBF).

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma, who is also the national president of AIBF, said that Brahmin associations in the country were strong
enough to exert pressure on the governments concerned. “Unity in the organisation will ensure that there is proper implementation of the
welfare schemes. If we stand united, we can successfully achieve our goals,” he said. Vishakhapatnam head Sri Swaroopanarendra
Saraswati attended the meeting and participated in the Viprotsavam. On the occasion, he warned that one who neglected or abused
Brahmins were bound to face bad consequences.

Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Seva Sangh Samakhya, which organised the national level convention, demanded political parties to allot party
tickets to Brahmins to enable them to enter Assembly and Parliament. They appealed to government at both Centre and State-levels to
chalk out plans to help poor Brahmins receive good education and health facilities.
