Tirupati: TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao instructed the engineering wing to commence the works of the construction of replica temple of Lord Venkateswara on the banks of River Krishna for the ensuing Krishna Pushkaralu by June. Reviewing with the senior officers in his chambers on Monday in TTD administrative building in Tirupati, the EO said, as the Pushkaralu are scheduled from August 12 to 24, he directed the officials concerned to prepare an action plan and execute accordingly with a specific time frame. He also instructed that spiritual books and CDs should be kept ready for the mega religious event.

The EO also constituted a committee comprising Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar, All Projects Special Officer N Muktheswara Rao, Additional FACAO Balaji and TTD PRO Dr T Ravi as members for printing appropriate books for the event.

Later, he instructed the engineering officials to complete the repair works of TTD Kalyana Mandapams at Mangalagiri and Vijayawada at a fast pace.
He also instructed the Forest and Garden officials to see that there are ornamental and sandalwood plantations on either side of the roads in Tirumala to give aesthetic feel to multitude of visiting pilgrims.
