Coast Guard begins training for Coastal Security Police

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh headquarters of Indian Coast Guard (DHQ-6) began imparting training to a new batch of Coastal Security Police (CSP) comprising 20 constables of CSP in subjects, including basic seamanship and navigation, marine engineering, safety at sea and fire fighting.

Addressing the trainees at a meeting here on Wednesday, Inspector General of Police (CSP) informed that the training curriculum was finalised by the Indian Coast Guard and Bureau of Police Research and Development, New Delhi. He said it covers various aspects like ‘sea going’ where a policeman is trained as a ‘police seaman’.
