All households will get tap connections: MLA
The State government has been taking all steps to provide tap connections to each and every household in the State, said MLA Badeti Kota Ramarao. Speaking after inaugurating tap connections on Yetigattu Road in a 34th division on Monday, he said Eluru Municipal Corporation will provide 13,860 tap connections within three years in the city.

The MLA said people possessing white ration card can now get a tap water connection by paying just Rs 200. Under AMRUT scheme, the government has decided to provide water connections to each household in the city. He said the cost of material as also the expenditure for laying pipeline will be borne by the municipal corporation and the beneficiary has to pay just Rs 200.
He said the Corporation is supplying Godavari water to residents of the city through 26 water reservoirs two times a day. Corporation Whip Gudavalli Vasi, corporators Edpuganti Swarooparani and Vanapalli Lakshmi were present.
