Ramesh Hospitals, Aster DM Healthcare join hands for better medical facilities

Ramesh Hospitals has joined hands with Gulf Cooperative Council’s organisation Aster DM Health Care in order to expand the services of emergency and preliminary medicine across the remote parts of the State in a phased manner. Their association to enhance health care delivery throughout will be taken forward with a budget of Rs 250 crore to be spent in 3 years.

Addressing the new reporters at a hotel here on Monday, Managing Director of Ramesh Hospitals Dr P Ramesh Babu said that Aster DM has a diversified portfolio in healthcare facilities in India and Dubai with global revenues of over Rs 5000 crore. I happened to meet Chairman of Aster DM, Dr Azad Moopen during inauguration of our Hospital in Guntur which is when we decided to put a foot forward in strengthening the medical sector in remote places of the State.

“We intend to expand our presence and form a strong network of medical professionals which will benefit the rural folk a lot. We observed that thousands of lives were lost in the State due to lack of night time emergency care and golden hour concept. Through our initiative, we not only provide emergency medicine by partnering with local hospitals and clinics but also raise awareness on Basic Life Support (BSL), first aid, golden hour and telemedicine concepts.

We are keen on developing centres of excellence in pediatric cardiology, oncology, gastroenterology, nephrology, and transplant programmes for heart, liver and kidney,” added Dr Ramesh. Hospitals COO Gopi Krishna, chief financial officer Ravi Kiran, management consultant M C Das and others were present.
