Acharya Nagarjuna University is all set to start Chinese language course to help students get jobs in the Chinese companies. Following instructions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, ANU vice-chancellor Prof A Rajendra Prasad signed a MoU with Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) chancellor Dr G Viswanathan at a programme held on the university premises here on Tuesday.

​Guntur: Acharya Nagarjuna University is all set to start Chinese language course to help students get jobs in the Chinese companies. Following instructions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, ANU vice-chancellor Prof A Rajendra Prasad signed a MoU with Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) chancellor Dr G Viswanathan at a programme held on the university premises here on Tuesday.

According to the MoU, Chinese language teachers at VIT will teach the Chinese language at ANU. The Chinese teachers in the VIT will visit the ANU in the first week of June to start the classes. Hanban, a Chinese government agency to promote language and culture, was extending cooperation to the VIT in teaching the Chinese language.

ANU Engineering College principal Prof N Siddaiah said, “VIT made one foreign language mandatory for the students.” He said the students who learnt the Chinese language at VIT got good placements.
