Mudragada Padmanabham launched an indefinite hunger strike on Thursday seeking reservations to Kapu community and release of all those arrested in the Tuni train burning case. Speaking to media on Thursday, Chandrababu said that AP is already amidst a lot of issues, yet the government is taking necessary measures for the welfare of Kapus citing the examples of Kapu Welfare Committee constituted, Rs 1000 crore allotted for the welfare and development of the community.

The Chief Minister said that there are so many tasks ahead of the state that is facing various problems, hence, the Kapu leader should understand our situation and withdraw his Deeksha in the interests of the state.
