Atmakur Kurnool: Endowments Commissioner Gayatri Devi on Thursday performed Bhumipuja for works to give facelift to Sangameshwara temple after finalising tender works for the project.
The tender was awarded to Anil Kumar Maharana of Bhubaneshwar in Odisha. He was the recipient of national award.
He will lead a team of 40 sculptors and complete the works to give facelift to the Sangameshwara temple 10 days ahead of Pushkaralu to River Krishna.
The project works include rebuilding of temple Rajagopuram and construction of Lakshmi Devi Gayatri Devi Vajra Lingeswara Vrudhdha Sanga meshwara, Sun God and panchamukhi Anjaneya Swamy temples.
