Minister for BC Welfare Kollu Ravindra said on Saturday the TDP government is committed for the development of BCs and Kapus in the State.
Vijayawada: Minister for BC Welfare Kollu Ravindra said on Saturday the TDP government is committed for the development of BCs and Kapus in the State.
Speaking to reporters at the CM camp office, here on Saturday, the Minister said the government issued GO 17 declaring that 32 castes out of 139 backward class castes in the State are considered the most backward classes and a separate corporation was set up for their development. He said funds and managing director post will be allocated to the MBC corporation and very soon.
Ravindra said the State government would impart coaching in reputed institutions to 500 BC students and BC 500 Kapu students to enable them to attend the Civil Services Examinations. Ravindra said entrance test will be conducted on June 26 to select the candidates for the coaching and government would spend Rs 2 lakh on each student for the same, he added.
