As the Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham's Deeksha entered its sixth day, the Andhra Pradesh Ministers on Tuesday appealed to the leader to break his indefinite hunger strike stating that it was the government's responsibility to ensure the good health of Mudragada at this juncture.

Deputy Chief Minister Chinarajappa and Minister Narayana urged Mudragada to seek medical treatment and co-operate with the government. The Ministers pointed out that the former Central ministers Dasari Narayana Rao, Chiranjeevi and former Congress Minister Botsa Satyanarayana had not come forward to speak about the Kapu issue.

While the Kapu leader has launched the Deekhsa demanding the release of those arrested in connection with the Ratnachal Express burning case in Tuni along with the implementation of reservations to his community, the AP ministers stated that the cases cannot be scrapped and asked the YSRCP not to exploit the situation in the name of the Kapus.
