Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham is on an indefinite hunger strike for the last six days and his health condition is deteriorating by the day.

The doctors at the Rajahmundry Government Hospital where the Kapu leader is undertaking the Deeksha stated that Mudragada was refusing medication and is not willing to accept any medical help.

While the doctors forcibly gave fluid diet to fasting Mudragada's wife and daughter-in-law, they are not able to get Mudragada to take any medical help. Stating that Mudragada's BP was 130/90, the doctors said that his health has deteriorated and that necessary medical tests have to be performed on Mudragada who is in need of emergency aid.

Mudragada Padmanabam has undertaken the Deeksha demanding the release of those arrested in connection with the Tuni violence along with the implementation of reservations to his community.
