Kakinada: East Godavari collector H Arun Kumar said that the government schools are being strengthened on par with private schools.
Participating in Badi Pilustondi programme organised at Sarvepalli Radhakrisnhnan Municipal Corporation School in Kakinada city on Wednesday, the collector said that apart from provision of school uniforms and text books, children in government schools are being provided with quality food through Akshaya Patra Foundation in urban and rural areas.
He said that in a total 772 schools in district including15 schools in Kakinada city are being provided midday meal through this foundation.
