YSRCP general secretary Peddireddy Ramachandrareddy came down heavily against the ruling TDP party for encouraging defections despite having an absolute majority in the House so as to eliminate the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh.

The MLA from Punganur in Chittoor district also challenged the ruling TDP to make the defected MLAs from YSRCP to resign and seek re-election. Peddireddy revealed that he is ready to resign from politics if all the MLAs win the by-election.
