US varsity posting for Andhra University alumnus

Visakhapatnam: The alumnus of Andhra University Prof Neeli Bendapudi brought laurels to Andhra Pradesh particularly to Andhra University by assuming the prestigious position of Provost and Executive Vice-Chancellor of University of Kansas, Lawrence, USA on July 1.

Prof Neeli had her early education, under-graduation and master’s degree in Vizag city and studied Master of Business Administration in Andhra University.

She is the daughter of Prof Ramesh Dutta and Prof Padma Dutta, senior professors of Department of English, Andhra University. She has also experience on public and private boards and served as Executive Vice- President and Chief Customer Officer of Huntington National Bank.

She has published a good number of research articles and received research honours, including Richard D Irwin Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship and The Ford Motor Company Competitive Research Grant. Andhra University faculty hailed the appointment of Prof Neeli as Provost of University of Kansas, Lawrence, USA.
