Visakhapatnam: City Committee of CPM, which opposed the allotment of 15 acres land to the Film Nagar Cultural Centre, demanded the government to immediately cancel the deal.

City secretary B Ganga Rao told The Hans India on Friday that the land was given on lease for 33 years for Rs 1.5 lakh per annum and the allotment was purely involved with political interference.

He said that as per the Joint Collector, the allotted land value is Rs 34 crore for which the open market rate is Rs 200 crore.
He stated that there was no Film Nagar Cultural Centre in the city.

Ganga Rao alleged that the government has recently allotted 50 acres land near Madhavadara to e-Centric Solutions at the rate of Rs 50 lakh per acres. The CPM is opposing such land allotments in the guise of development and demanded a probe into all such allotments, he added.
