Kurnool: The officials of the Medical Department reacted after The Hans India exposed the irregularities that have been taking place in the bio-metric system at the Government General Hospital (GGH).

It may be recalled that the doctors of the hospital are not following the timings and some of them are using swiping cards instead of fingerprints.

The officers took damage control measures after Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas ordered an enquiry into the incident. Superintendent of the GGH, Dr Veera Swamy, initiated disciplinary action against the staff, who committed irregularities.

He personally checked the fingerprints and swiping of every employee. He confiscated the swiping cards from four employees.

Speaking to The Hans India, the superintendent said that he would submit detailed report after analysing the three days data of bio-metric attendance.

“If anyone found practicing in private clinics during the Out Patient (OP) timing, stringent action would be taken against them,” he warned.
