Bhimavaram: Vinod Gupta, president of Imperial Society of Innovation Engineers (ISIE) has said that hybrid vehicles, which run on electricity and diesel products will become significant in future for a pollution-free environment and environment protection.

He was addressing at a national special training programme to candidates who are selected to participate in the ‘Hybrid vehicle competition-2017’ by the ISIE at Vishnu Engineering College for Women here on Saturday.

He said that in view of the future needs, the students should learn about the hybrid vehicles. The training programme was aimed at creating awareness and innovations by the students. Besides, innovative designs, production, an exhibition would also be conducted, he added.

About 230 mechanical engineering students from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Haryana and Kerala participated in the training programme.Engineering college principal G Srinivasa Rao, vice-principal P Srinivasa Raju, ISIE trainers Pavankumar and Anjan Prasad addressed the session.
