Pushkara Snanam has a great impact on body, mind and soul of the person who takes the holy dip. It is believed that gods take the dip during Pushkaralu which makes it even more divine,” said the 69th Sankaracharya.

The pontiff was here to take part in Chathurmasyavratha Anushtanam which is going to be held from July 19 to September 16 at the Venkateswara Swamy temple premises.

Speaking to the media on the occasion here on Sunday, the seer said that he is going to stay put until the completion of event and will take the holy dip.

He reminded that he had taken a dip along with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in last year’s Godavari Pushkaralu too. Jayendra said merging of Krishna and Godavari river water would only benefit the pilgrims and certainly a good omen. Later, he explained the programmes that were lined up for the Chathurmasyavratha Anushtanam.
