YSRCP leader arrested for dowry harassment
According to SC, ST Cell DSP K S Vinod Kumar, Murali Krishna’s wife filed the case against him on June 21. Upon learning that a case was filed against him, he evaded police and had been absconding. Meanwhile, he approached the High Court of Hyderabad for anticipatory bail.
Kurnool: II Town police on Thursday arrested former MLA and YSRCP leader Murali Krishna in a case relating to dowry harassment filed by his wife.
According to SC, ST Cell DSP K S Vinod Kumar, Murali Krishna’s wife filed the case against him on June 21. Upon learning that a case was filed against him, he evaded police and had been absconding. Meanwhile, he approached the High Court of Hyderabad for anticipatory bail.
While granting him bail, the High Court specifically ordered him to surrender before the police. However, he did not do so. Basing on the court orders, the II Town police took him into the custody on Thursday. He would be produced before the Magistrate for further action.
