The CPIM has taken a stand opposing atomic power projects that are to come up at Kavali near Nellore and Kovvada in North Coastal Andhra.
Addressing the media in Nellore, CPIM state unit general secretary Madhu said the state government is taking up anti-people policies in a one-sided manner. Citing the example of atomic power projects, the CPIM leader said that the government agreed to the Kavali atomic power project by bowing to the wishes of the superpower of US.
He further stated that the local people are opposing the project and will be agitating against it.
