Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday participated in a series of programmes in Visakhapatnam and was even felicitated by various groups of the city on his election to Rajya Sabha.
Speaking on the special status category to Andhra Pradesh, Venkaiah Naidu stated that even though he is not representing the state in Rajya Sabha, he has given his heart and soul to the development of AP but added that special category status is not the solution for every problem.
While he asserted that the Centre would deliver all the promises made during the bifurcation of AP, the Minister criticised the Congress for politicising the special status issue.
Mr Naidu further added that they are determined to make AP the number one state in the country and are even working in that direction. He also added that Visakhapatnam would be soon announced as the railway zone headquarters for AP.
