Chintalapudi: The Minister for Women and Child Welfare Peethala Sujatha said that 43 mini rythu bazaars will be established in 43 mandals in the district, for the first time in the State as a pilot project.

The Minister inaugurated a temporary mini rythu bazaar on the Agricultural Marketing Committee premises in Chintalapudi on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said, “At present, six rythu bazaars are in operation in the district.

In the remaining 43 mandals, mini rythu bazaars will be set up with cold storage facility. These rythu bazaars are aimed at benefitting the farmers and public and the government selected the district as a pilot project”.

So far, an amount of Rs 47 lakh has been sanctioned by the government to set up these mini Rythu bazaars in Lingapalem, Chintalapudi, Jangareddigudem, Tanuku, Nidadavole, Koyyalagudem, Nallajerla, and Tadepalligudem.

The government will provide support price to the farmers. In 10 Marketing Committees the government has introduced e-marketing system, the Minister said.

The minister said that online marketing system would be introduced in Denduluru and Gopalapuram marketing committees soon. MPP Dasari Ramakka, Marketing Assistant Director Chayadevi, Horticulture Assistant Director Durgesh, Mandal Tahsildar Maikhel Raju, MPDO Rajasekhar addressed the gathering.
