The chairman inspected the SV Gosamrakshanasala in Tirupati on Saturday, and personally examined the special care and fodder being offered to the cows here, and also the 52 which were rescued by the police, when they were being sent to slaughter, few days back in Punganur and brought to TTD Goshala.  

Tirupati: The cow, being the embodiment of 33 crore deities, it is the responsibility of every Hindu to protect the Gomata and preserve our rich heritage and culture, TTD Trust Board chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy has said.

The chairman inspected the SV Gosamrakshanasala in Tirupati on Saturday, and personally examined the special care and fodder being offered to the cows here, and also the 52 which were rescued by the police, when they were being sent to slaughter, few days back in Punganur and brought to TTD Goshala.

He said at present there are 2,560 cattle in 65 acres of spacious area in SV Goshala. To protect the desi cows in a better way, the TTD also took over 450 acres of land in Palamaner, he added.
