​Gangulakunta (Anantapur): About 100 NSS volunteers of JNTU College under the programme officer Dilip Kumar participated in a 3-day camp at Gangulakunta village in Raptadu mandal and cleaned roads and streets in the village.

They also removed the silt in the village drains and planted trees in the school premises and also on the village roads and lanes. The students, who lived in the village for three days, gave a new look to the village by cleaning it.

The villagers were amused with the presence of students in their village for three days and were happy at their hard work in giving a new look to the village.

The students also visited the Region Sericulture Institute and also planted trees in its premises. Institute’s regional head Dr Satyanrayana Raju educated the students on sericulture and in raising of mulberry trees and silk worms. Dilip Kumar stated that the camp has given new inspiration to students to serve the society.
