​Vijayawada: Health Minister Dr Kamineni Srinivas ruled out the possibility of changing the counselling dates for admission into MBBS and BDS courses in various colleges of Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to newsmen at the Andhra Hospital here on Friday, the Minister said there was no leakage of Eamcet papers and the counselling will commence as per the schedule on August 6.

Asked about some reports of the leakage of question paper in Andhra Pradesh, the Health Minister clarified that the government has successfully conducted the examination without leakage and students have not lodged any complaints about either marks or the ranks.

He said all arrangements have been made for the successful conduct of counselling for admission into MBBS and BDS courses in the Medical and BDS colleges in the State.

The Minister said the first year MBBS examinations will be conducted as per the schedule from August 9 in the State and there is no question of changing the examination dates due to Krishna Pushkaralu.

He pointed out that the Krishna Pushkaralu are taking place in only three districts of the State and felt that there was no need to change the examination dates. Kamineni said preparations are underway to conduct the examinations from the scheduled date.

He announced that the examination centres will be changed in some areas if the students request for it.
