Rare animal found

Eluru: The Wildlife officials have found a rare species of Civet Cat in the agricultural fields near Bhimavaram. It usually lives in thick forests.Reacting to a prompt, the Wild Life officials went to Bhimavaram area and searched for the Civet Cat. With the good effort of the team, they could trace it in an agriculture field and brought it to Eluru Wildlife office.

The Akiveedu and Eluru Forest officials, Sridhar and Srinivas, respectively, led the team to catch the Civet Cat. They said as it is a rare species, they have to protect it. They opined that this is a smaller variety of Indian Civet Cat.
