Kuppam (Chittoor): Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu received petitions from the residents of Kuppam, Santhipuram and Gudipalli mandals at Roads and Buildings (R&B) Guest House here on Tuesday.

People thronged to guest house in large numbers and submitted their petitions to Chandrababu. The Chief Minister assured of resolving their grievances at the earliest. He instructed District Collector Siddharth Jain to redress all grievances of petitioners.

The police made foolproof security arrangements at the guest house and regulated flow of petitioners. District SP G Srinivas personally monitored queue lines of petitioners.

On the second day of his tour in his native constituency, the Chief Minister has participated in various developmental programmes and interacted with the public. He has also instructed his personal assistant Manohar to send him a comprehensive report with regard to the grievances received from the public.

He stated that every petition should be attended. Later, the Chief Minister flagged off a veterinary mobile van in the presence Environment and Forests Minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy.

TDP district general secretary P Nani has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister explaining the steps being taken to strengthen the party in the district.

He has also informed Chandrababu about Chittoor city beautification initiated by the district administration. The TDP leader also brought to the notice of the TDP supremo about filling up the nominated posts.

Earlier, District Superintendent of Police (SP) G Srinivas has appraised the Chief Minister about the progress made in curbing red sanders smuggling activities.

Chandrababu directed the SP to tackle red sanders smuggling with a firm hand. The TDP supremo complemented ZP Chairperson Girvani Chandra Prakash on successful completion of two-year term.

He has also enquired about the health condition of Chittoor MLA D K Satyaprabha, who has been undergoing treatment for an ailment at a hospital in Bengaluru. Later, the Chief Minister left for Bengaluru from Kuppam in a special helicopter.
