Srisailam dam discharges 80,144 cusecs

According to project Superintending Engineer AG Mallikarjuna Reddy, the right and left bank power houses generated 137.5940 million units of power. The Handri-Neeva Project is receiving 1680 cusecs of inflows, while Potireddypadu project is getting 4850 cusecs of water from the dam.
Srisailam:Srisailam dam is receiving inflows to the tune of 2, 48,616 cusecs and officials are discharging 80,144 cusecs from the dam. Water level in the reservoir is at 869 feet against the full capacity of 885 feet.
According to project Superintending Engineer AG Mallikarjuna Reddy, the right and left bank power houses generated 137.5940 million units of power. The Handri-Neeva Project is receiving 1680 cusecs of inflows, while Potireddypadu project is getting 4850 cusecs of water from the dam.
Officials have been making arrangements to ensure enough water at bathing ghats in Srisailam, Sundipenta and Lingalagattu. It will take at least four days for the water level in the Srisailam dam to reach the full-reservoir level.
