Collector gets good feedback on Pushkaralu arrangements
Vijay Mohan directed the officials to ensure that pilgrims take a holy dip in fresh water at the bathing ghats. He said that all measures should be taken to prevent pollution of the river water. Flowers and other puja material thrown into the river by pilgrims, should be removed at regular intervals. Focus should be laid on maintenance of sanitation at bathing ghats,” he added.
Srisailam (Kurnool): Collector Ch Vijay Mohan inspected Pathala Ganga and Lingalagattu ghats on Tuesday and enquired the pilgrims on the arrangements for Krishna Pushkaralu. On getting a good feedback from pilgrims on arrangements, the Collector expressed his happiness over the smooth conduct of the river festival.

Earlier, the Collector ensured storage of adequate water in Srisailam reservoir for generation of hydel power. He personally oversaw the cleaning of Lingalagattu ghat by staying put at the place till the early hours of the day.
He instructed the officials to focus on further improvement of amenities at Lingalagattu ghat keeping in view the increase in pilgrim rush.
