Kurnool: District Collector Challa Vijay Mohan and Superintendent of Police (SP) Ake Ravi Krishna inspected the arrangements for devotees at Pathalaganga and Lingalagattu on Wednesday. They expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made for the ongoing Krishna Pushkaralu.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that service to devotees is like serving God. He gave a call to officials concerned to provide services to devotees with commitment. He gave instructions to DRDA Project Director, Joint Director of Agriculture and the RDOs of Nandyal, Adoni and Kurnool for providing better amenities to devotees at Lord Mallikarjuna and Goddess Bhramaramba ghats. He directed the officials of the Tourism department to ensure safety of devotees, who are taking ropeway.

The Collector asked officials to make public announcements at regular intervals asking the devotees to make use of free bus services instead of walking on steps after taking holy dip. He ordered the Medical department to keep sufficient stock of Oral Rehydration Salt sachets at first aid centres.

Later, the Collector and the SP served food to the devotees at the food counters being operated by the government. They also enquired with the devotees about the arrangements being made for them. They urged the devotees to utilise the accommodations provided by the government at Pushkar Nagar.

The SP urged the devotees to inform police if they notice any untoward incident. He stated that as many as 3,000 police personnel were deployed for the security and safety of devotees. Ravi Krishna said that services of drone camera were
being used to maintain law and order and to regulate traffic.
