As per the contract, Suman Devi said that the company was supposed to remit Rs 11.35 lakh to her but it paid only Rs 7.08 lakh. When asked about remaining balance of Rs 4.25 lakh, the factory management had expressed its inability citing losses.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Friday, Suman Devi stated that the management of the canning unit has been hiring labourers from UP for the last few years.

She alleged that the management had failed to clear remaining balance despite running in profits. She made it clear that they would not leave Chittoor unless the management clear dues. She stated that labourers would submit a memorandum to the Collector on Monday if the company fails to remit the balance amount.
