Gollapudi Ghat provides serene atmosphere

Vijayawada: Pilgrims coming to the city are taking a holy dip at Gollapudi Pushkar Ghat which is located on the outskirts of the city.The ghat provides serene atmosphere unlike other ghats in the city which are witnessing a huge rush. Many pilgrims from across the district and around the city are visiting this ghat for a pleasant dip.

The water also flows towards the Prakasam Barrage and is fresh. The pilgrims after taking a holy dip move to Indrakeeladri, which is just three km away from here, and worship the presiding deity Goddess Durga.

Interestingly, the villagers and some organisations are offering anna danam to the pilgrims. They are also voluntarily distributing drinking water and butter milk to the pilgrims.
