The Cabinet is likely to give its nod in its next meeting. It may be mentioned here that the AP Spinning Mills Association requested the government to release the amount towards power bills dues. However, the government rejected their plea. 

Guntur: The State government has decided to release Rs 400 crore power subsidy to the spinning mills for the last five years. The group of ministers led by Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao and Panchayat Raj Minister Ch Ayyanna Patrudu sent a report to the State Cabinet recommending release of power subsidy for spinning mills.

The Cabinet is likely to give its nod in its next meeting. It may be mentioned here that the AP Spinning Mills Association requested the government to release the amount towards power bills dues. However, the government rejected their plea.

Following which, the association observed production holidays every Wednesday for two weeks to mount pressure on the State government. Meanwhile, the government relented to the demands of the association and assured them of releasing the power subsidy.
