The recordings of temperatures in the State were : Nellore, Tirupati 39 each, Kavali , Machilipatnam, Ongole 38 each, Bapatla, Kadapa 37 each, Narsapur,  Vijayawada 36  each, Kakinada, Nandigama, Tuni, Visakhapatnam Airport , Anantapur, Kurnool, Nandyal 35 each and Kalingapatnam, Visakhapatnam and  Arogyavaram 32 each, respectively. 

Hyderabad: Day temperatures in Andhra Pradesh continued to rise steadily, with Jangamaheswarapuram recording 40 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday.

The recordings of temperatures in the State were : Nellore, Tirupati 39 each, Kavali , Machilipatnam, Ongole 38 each, Bapatla, Kadapa 37 each, Narsapur, Vijayawada 36 each, Kakinada, Nandigama, Tuni, Visakhapatnam Airport , Anantapur, Kurnool, Nandyal 35 each and Kalingapatnam, Visakhapatnam and Arogyavaram 32 each, respectively.

The Met department bulletin said the well-marked low pressure area over north-east Madhya Pradesh and its surroundings on Monday is persisting and the associated upper air cyclonic circulation now extends to mid-troposphere levels.

During the last 24 hours, rain occurred at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and in Rayalaseema, with Garugubilli in Vizianagaram district recording one cm of rain.

The forecast said that light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in the coastal districts and also in Rayalaseema from August 24 to 27 followed by an increase in rainfall for the subsequent three days.
