Chandrababu offers land for Badminton Academy in Amaravati

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who felicitated Olympics silver medal winner P V Sindhu and coach Pullela Gopichand on Tuesday held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) stadium announced prize money of Rs 3 crore and Rs 50 lakh for them respectively.

Chandrababu also made an announcement the allotment of 15 acres of land in Amaravati to P Gopichand to set up a Badminton academy. The Chief Minister asserted that the academy would have the best infrastructure of international standards for which the state government will pool in funds to establish the academy.
Apart from the award prizes coming the silver medalist's way, Andhra Cricket Association too announced a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh to Sindhu and Rs 10 lakh to Gopichand.
