Coast Guard ship to cruise to Bangladesh
The ship will return to Port Blair on September 24. The ship is based at Port Blair and is under the command of DIG N Ravi and the ship arrived here on Wednesday from Port Blair. During its overseas deployment the ship will conduct exercises with the Coast Guard and navies of these littoral nations.
Visakhapatnam: Indian Coast Guard Ship ICGS Vishwast all set to sail to Bangladesh, Myanmar and Thailand on Friday. The 94- metre long vessel of OPV class was built at Goa Shipyard with modern equipment to carry out coast guard specific tasks. As a measure of goodwill, the ship will be carrying packaged water and food for the distribution among people affected by recent floods in Myanmar.
