De-worming tablets to be supplied soon
They drew an action plan to supply de-worming tablets to children between 1 to 2 years, 1 to 5 years and 6 to 19 years of age. About 7.1 lakh children are being covered under the programme.
Anantapur: All the schools, colleges and Anganwadi centres in the district have been geared up for supply of de-worming tablets in connection with the World De-Worming Day on August 30. A meeting chaired by Additional Joint Collector Syed Khaja Mohiuddin here on Friday and attended by medical and health personnel, representatives of schools, colleges and ICDS staff.
They drew an action plan to supply de-worming tablets to children between 1 to 2 years, 1 to 5 years and 6 to 19 years of age. About 7.1 lakh children are being covered under the programme.
Children in the age group of 1 to 2 years would have to take half a tablet while those in the 2 to 19 years age group would have to take one tablet of Albendazole. For those in the age group of 1 to 2 years, tablets have been made available at the Anganwadi centres.
