Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswathi hospitalized, put on ventilator support

Jayendra Saraswathi, the head of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham on Tuesday, was admitted to a hospital in Vijayawada in an unconscious condition following a spurt in his blood pressure.

Officials informed that the Seer fell unconscious during a function at a temple following which his disciples rushed him to the hospital. Currently, he has been put on ventilator support and is being treated for high blood pressure.

With the news breaking out regarding his illness, hundreds of his followers gathered at the hospital to wish him a speedy recovery while the police cordoned off the area anticipating more people.
