Make use of welfare schemes
Speaking at the ‘Runa Mela’ programme on Tuesday, Shariff said the government had allocated Rs 720 crore for the welfare of minorities and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had consented to augment the same to Rs 1,200 crore in the next financial year.
Eluru: MLC and former chairman of Andhra Pradesh Minority Corporation, MA Shariff exhorted minority youth to strive hard to get selected for government jobs and utilise the benefits being provided by the government for the welfare of minorities.
Speaking at the ‘Runa Mela’ programme on Tuesday, Shariff said the government had allocated Rs 720 crore for the welfare of minorities and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had consented to augment the same to Rs 1,200 crore in the next financial year.
Stating that more than 30,000 posts in various government departments were going to be filled soon, he said free coaching would be provided to minorities for two months and asked them to avail the opportunity.
Shariff also said that the government was extending loans of Rs 10 lakh with a subsidy of Rs 1.5 lakh to taxi drivers to rescue them from debts. MLA Badeti Kota Rama Rao asked officials to create awareness among minorities about the welfare schemes, being implemented by the government.
