Eluru: Students at Tadepalligudem, Eluru and other places boycotted classes on Tuesday, demanding fee reimbursement to eligible students from the government, in response to a call given by the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP.

The ABVP also demanded that the government fill the vacant lecturer posts and revoke GO No 35 and warned of an agitation if the problems of the students were not addressed.

ABVP Tadepalligudem division convener T John said that the government degree colleges in the division declared a holiday on Tuesday in response to the ABVP call for the bandh protesting the indifference of the government in addressing the problems of government college students. The ABVP also said that unrecognised colleges in the State should be banned on a war footing.
