Launching a mega blood donation camp at the AU Convocation hall organised jointly  by the AU NSS wing, Symbiosis Technologies, Pinnacle Hospitals and Sarada Bakery here on Thursday,  the Vice-Chancellor emphasised the need to donate blood to save the lives of needy. He complimented all the organisations for coming forward to conduct the camp in association with Andhra University. 

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University will organise mega blood donation camp on the campus on September 1 every year involving NSS volunteers, NCC cadets and students to overcome the problem of shortage of blood, said Vice-Chancellor Prof G Nageswara Rao.

Rector Prof E A Narayana, Registrar Prof V Umamaheswara Rao and O Lakshamana Rao of Symbiosis Technologies also spoke about the importance of blood donation. Pinnacle Hospitals Director G V M Krishna Kishore said that they conduct important medical tests worth Rs 3,000 for Rs 999 on those who donate blood.
