Amaravati: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has said that the government will take steps to pay salaries to the government employees by sixth of every month. He further said that salaries to contract and outsourcing employees will be paid every month.

Later speaking to the media about YSRCP MLA K Roja writing an apology letter to the Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao and requesting him to cancel her suspension, he said that the government will follow high court orders in this matter.

Yanamala informed that the government has cancelled agreement on CMF with NIT and will call for fresh tenders. He said that challan system will be made available in the Stamps and Registrations department soon.

He admitted that the revenue of Stamps and Registrations department has not increased as expected and stated that steps will be taken to shore up revenue of these departments. He said currently DDs are accepted in the Registrations department.

The Minister informed that interest accrued on Rs 16,000 crore deposits in various banks will be used to meet protocol expenditure. He said that he will discuss the issue with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Stating that tourism in the State was not developed as expected, he said that an expert committee has been constituted to study tourism development in the State. He said the government will take steps to develop tourism after the committee submits its report. Officials of Treasuries and Tourism departments were present at the meeting.
