Addressing members of faculty and postgraduate students of Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) on Thursday, the professor specified that quality education should be provided to students. He also mentioned that teachers should identify and apply the skills by which knowledge can be assessed for decision-making.
Rajamahendravaram: Professor of safety in healthcare of industrial design engineering at Delft University of Technology, Jack J Jackinowicz opined that, teaching and learning procedures should be changed accordingly and added that a new curriculum should be adopted by using advanced technology.

It may be recalled here that Adikavi Nannaya University and GSL Medical College signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 4 for academic collaboration on medical simulation training and clinical practicing skills.
The objective of this collaboration is to provide authenticity to the courses conducted by GSL Medical College in collaboration with LSS (Laparoscopic Surgical Skills), Netherlands and AKNU. The admissions, curriculum implementation and evaluation of students would be under the supervision of the university.
Participating faculty members, postgraduate medical students and practicing surgeons would be getting an opportunity to learn surgical skills. They would also be awarded with validated certificates from the university. With this background, the vice-chancellor invited Prof Jack on Thursday.
Vice-chancellor of AKNU, Prof Murru Mutyalu Naidu expressed that with the signing of the MoU, the university expanded the scope of academics to the healthcare section as well. He congratulated GSL Medical College chairman for the establishment of the sophisticated LSS lab.
Chairman of GSL Medical College Ganni Bhaskara Rao, stated that this LSS programme at GSL was planned six years ago and was glad to announce that the Advanced Simulation Lab and Research Training Centre (SMART Lab) in GSL Medical College was the first-of-its-kind in India.
Dr Mattareddy Principal, University College of Science and Technology, AKNU explained the course curriculum and the role of AKNU. Prof A Narasimha Rao, Registrar and University College Principals Prof P Suresh Varma, Prof K Sree Ramesh, Dr K Subba Rao, Deans Prof S Teki, Prof Y Sreenivas Rao, Dr P Venkateswara Rao, programme committee members Dr M Kamala Kumari and Dr Sujatha and university faculty members were present in the meeting.
