DSO Umamaheswara Rao, MSO Suresh, Civil Supplies department DMO Krishna Rao and Revenue department staff in Pithapuram and Gollaprolu were a part of the raiding party.  The JC directed that recovery cases would be registered against the dealers and they would be suspended.

Pithapuram: East Godavari district Joint Collector S Satyanarayana on Thursday ordered seizure of three ration shops--two in Pithapuram and one in Gollaprolu--following irregularities allegedly committed by the dealers, after conducting raids at
rations shops.

DSO Umamaheswara Rao, MSO Suresh, Civil Supplies department DMO Krishna Rao and Revenue department staff in Pithapuram and Gollaprolu were a part of the raiding party. The JC directed that recovery cases would be registered against the dealers and they would be suspended.

The dealers had lodged complaints with the Collector that they were getting commodities from MLS points with less weight. The raids were also conducted at Pithapuram MLS point following the orders issued by the Collector.
