Teachers Day celebrated at JNTU Kakinada

Kakinada: AP deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa called upon the teaching community to lay the foundation for a better society by providing quality education to students. Speaking at the Teachers Day celebrations organised at JNTU Kakinada, China Rajappa paid tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and termed him as a role model for the teaching community.

104 teachers were felicitated on the occasion. Amalapuram MP P Ravindra Babu, Kakinada city and rural MLAs Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao and Pilli Anantalakshmi, ZP chairperson Namana Rambabu and district Collector H Arun Kumar also spoke on the occasion. DEO R Narasimha Rao said the teachers day celebrations were proponed to Saturday as Monday happened to be Vinayaka Chavithi.
