Nellore: Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said that the State would become fuel capital of India, if it could tap oil resources from KG Basin. He was addressing a meeting organised by Swarna Bharat Trust to celebrate its 15th anniversary, here on Sunday.

In addition to these, petro-chemical complex in Vizag will be a reality soon,” he stated and added that the State would be getting investments to the tune of Rs 52,000 crore for various development projects.
Pradhan asserted that KG Basin has rich resources and they could be tapped to make State a hub for fuel production. “AP got 80 per cent of LPG connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) scheme and the remaining 20 per cent of connections will be sanctioned soon,” he informed.
