Officials told to make foolproof arrangements for Brahmotsavams

Tirumala: TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao directed the officials to retain a buffer stock of 7 lakh laddus for the sake of annual Brahmotsavams to avoid any shortage of laddus during the nine-day long mega festival to be held at Tirumala from October 3 to 11.

During the weekly review at Annamayya Bhavan, the TTD EO directed the officials to make foolproof arrangements for the Brahmotsavams and ensure that the scores of devotees return home with pleasant memories and satisfactory darshan of Lord Venkateswara on the Vahana Sevas to be held during the nine-day fete.

Instructing the officials of all departments to prepare an action plan for providing more facilities for the benefit of the devotees, Sambasiva Rao said that adequate steps should be taken at all points - Darshan, Anna Prasadam, accommodation and security.He also asked the TTD officials to coordinate with the district police on bandobust (security), law and order and also traffic control.

The SVBC officials were instructed to procure all necessary equipment for ensuring bright and colourful live telecast of Vahana Sevas. The trial run of Garuda Seva, the stellar event of Brahmotsavams, would be conducted on September 16.
He said RO plants providing safe drinking water to devotees should be kept in order and CC cameras should be installed at Annaprasadam Bhavan, Kalyana Katta and other prominent locations of Tirumala for better vigilance and orderly management of the pilgrims.

All the guest houses and other accommodation facilities should refurbished ahead of Brahmotsavams at Tirumala. The EO said that the devotees who get the seva tickets on lucky dip should produce their ID cards like Aadhaar, passport etc, for availing the seva tickets for darshan.
